Advancing Research in New Brunswick through Diagnostic Imaging
Faire progresser la recherche au Nouveau-Brunswick au moyen de technologies d'imagerie
About the CIRC
A strategic collaboration between Health & Life Sciences New Brunswick (HLSNB), Canadian Health Solutions (CHS), and Moncton MRI (MMRI).
Provides health researchers with support and access to advanced medical diagnostic imaging infrastructure, and other research-critical resources.
Offers researchers access to advanced imaging modalities (3T MRI, ultrasound and fluoroscopy) for participation in medical research studies.
Provides researchers with access to:
Research Biostatisticians, Medical/Clinical Research Coordinators, etc.
Advanced diagnostic imaging methods, protocols and processes
Clinic access, office space and administrative support services

To attract public and private research funding.
To develop solutions to improve health care delivery, outcomes and efficiencies.
To foster a regional environment of expertise in health research and medical analytics.
To promote economic development in New Brunswick.
To further New Brunswick as an emerging player in the global health and life sciences scene.
Our Capabilities
State of the Art 3T MRI Technology
Superior diagnostic capabilities of a 3T MRI are well-documented scientifically and result in improved specificity and sensitivity due to enhanced image quality, especially for scans of the knees, hips, smaller joints and the brain.
3T MRI is considered the most flexible and powerful diagnostic imaging technique available for a number of medical conditions. Provides significantly better image clarity versus 1.5T MRI - often the required standard for research initiatives.
A larger (diameter 70 cm) tunnel offers enhanced comfort, especially for the elderly, or those suffering from obesity or claustrophobia.
Recent investments enhance our service capabilities (specialized MRI coils, surgical C-arm, and other specialized medical equipment).
